The LDF Tribal Land Use Application is required for all development permits on LDF Tribal and Allotted lands within the Lac du Flambeau Reservation. This would also include all LDF tribal members owning
fee land and any and all business/organizations working on any tribal and allotted lands within the
exterior boundaries. The review process is essential to ensure that proposed projects on Tribal Land are
compliant with Tribal codes and ordinances as well as State & Federal guidelines.
There is no cost to enter a Land use Application for review. Applications may be entered
online or
on paper. Paper applications may be mailed to the Land Management
Department or dropped off during regular business hours.
A complete Land use Application must include the following:
- Completed LUA Form
- Site Plan
- Building Plan
- Business Proposals must also have a Business Plan
Only complete applications will be reviewed. Standard review time varies from 2-4 weeks depending on
the complexity of the project. Applicants may be required to provide additional documentation before
final review.
Once a project is reviewed by Tribal Departments and recommended for approval, a permit can be
issued by the Land Management Department. Permits are valid for one year from the issue date.
