August 2000 Initial contact with the city of Shullsburg, Wisconsin regarding the development of an off-reservation casino site

Tribal Resolution No 433(00) to pursue an off-reservation gaming operation in the Shullsburg area
September 2000 Initial feasibility study for a casino in Shullsburg completed

IGA signed with Lafayette County providing for a 4 million annual payment, one million of which will go to Shullsburg

Negotiations begin for the purchase of 93 acres of land

Tribe completes Environmental Assessment (EA), no adverse impacts noted.

Separate Air Quality and Traffic studies commissioned
November 2000 Tribe signs offer to purchase land. Resolution 677(00) Compact negotiations begin in Madison
February 2001 Governor Thompson leaves office, Governor McCallum ends all compact negotiations regarding off-reservation gaming. McCallum rejects the approved Hudson off reservation casino application
September 2001 Shullsburg Fee to Trust Application submitted to BIA
November 2001 Governor Doyle replaces Governor McCallum. Doyle position on off-reservation gaming is that he will not make a decision until an approved application is on his desk
October 2004 Klas Robinson feasibility study completed
December 2004 Tribe purchases Shullsburg property - 93 acres for $357,000 Rettler Corporation completes Master Planning/Design for site
March 2007 Feasibility Study updated by Michigan Consultants
January 2008 Interior Department changes the off-reservation trust land approval process by issuing a New "Guidance Memorandum". One day later the Shullsburg Application is denied.

December 2011 A formal work group to reconsider the Shullsburg casino project is formed

July 2012 Klas Robinson Shullsburg Feasibility Study completed, presented to Tribal Council
September 2012 Tribal Referendum, Tribe votes to move forward with Shullsburg casino project
